How to Fix Meta Title or Description Being Uneditable in Non-Primary Languages
This behavior is expected and is based on how Shopify manages multilingual meta information.
In SEOWILL, meta titles and meta descriptions must first be created in the store’s primary language before they can be edited in additional languages.
Please note the following:
- If the primary language meta title or meta description is empty, the corresponding fields in non-primary languages will appear greyed out and unavailable for editing.
- Once you add meta titles and meta descriptions in the primary language, the fields for other languages will automatically become editable.
This ensures proper structure and consistency for multilingual SEO in Shopify.
