How ALT Text Automation Re-Applies Updated Rules

Updating an ALT text rule will not automatically update previously optimized images, even if auto-optimization is enabled.

For example, if your original rule used Product Title – Shop Name and the product title changed from “A” to “B”, the ALT text on existing images will continue to reflect the original value unless the images are re-optimized manually.

How to Apply the Updated ALT Text Rule

To apply your updated rule to all images, please follow these steps:

1. Temporarily turn off the auto-optimization toggle in Auto-Generated Images Alt Text.

   

2. Scroll down and select all relevant images.

3. Click Re-optimize to apply the updated ALT text rule.
